Pastor Steve Sweeting

Stephen Sweeting

Senior Pastor

Steve Sweeting started as a Minister of Youth and Education at a church in Williams Bay, Wisconsin in 1979. He later became a Senior Pastor in 1986 at a church in Muskegon, Michigan. In January of 1991 he moved to New York and later became the Pastor of Faith Fellowship Church in June of 2000.

"Over the last 45 years God has directed and used me in His service. For that I am amazed and blessed. As God continues to place His hand on my life I will strive to obey and serve Him."


Married

To Avis McGowan in 1978.

Three children and eleven grandchildren


Education

  • Bachelor of Arts degree from Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois.
  • Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia.
  • Ordained May 1982, through Calvary Community Church, Williams Bay, Wisconsin.

    Stephen has been a pastor in the Genesee Valley area since 1991.

    Steven LaMar

    Pastor of Discipleship

    Steve LaMar has been with Faith Fellowship since 2010. He enjoys growing his own food, playing games, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, hiking, and running. He is responsible for missions, outreach, seeing our church grow through Life groups, and pastoral care. He desires to see the community know and love Jesus and with each other.

    To Susan Cowen in 2005.


    Children

    Two children: Hannah and Hope.

  • Associate in Arts of Humanities degree from Jamestown Community College, Jamestown, NY.
  • Bachelor of Religious Education degree from Davis College, Bible School Park, NY.
  • Master of Divinity degree, and Master of Arts in Youth Ministry degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, KY.

    Cliff Baker

    Youth Pastor

    Before coming to Faith Fellowship Church, Cliff was the Youth Pastor and a Founding Elder of The Crossing Church in Gore, Oklahoma. He felt the call into ministry back in high school and became ordained in 1987. A few of his achievements in high school include making State Honor Roll, winning Freestyle State Champion and State Wrestler of the Year, and receiving a combination Wrestling and Physics scholarship. He supports OU Sooners sports. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, reading, and playing games.

    To Heidi in 1984.

    Four children and thirteen grandchildren

  • Graduated from Moore High School in 1983
  • Attended Carson-Newman College 1984 to 1986
